Train delay compensation

Commuters have been hit by rush hour misery today after a train struck a tree in south-east London.



Southeastern has apologised to travellers after some services were cancelled as a result of obstruction about the Hayes to Charing Cross route.

About the rail operator’s Twitter account, an email was posted to at least one delayed commuter that a train had hit a tree.



The incident has sparked disruption about the busy commuter route and resulted in anger as some trains missed stops inside a bid to avoid further chaos.
